Ann McCready is a litigation partner at Taft Law.  Ann focuses her practice on complex disputes that span a variety of areas and industries, with an emphasis on complex commercial litigation and business disputes. Ann’s aim is to partner with her clients to better understand their business needs in order to drive disputes toward the best and most efficient outcome—or to avoid disputes where possible. In addition, Ann frequently serves as local counsel to large law firms that do not otherwise have a presence in Indiana. Ann also serves on the firm’s Gender Advancement Committee and as the partner chair of the Indianapolis Women of Taft group.

Ann focuses much of her community involvement on supporting and empowering women, both personally and professionally. She currently serves on the board of directors for Dress for Success Indianapolis, and has been involved over the years with American Cancer Society ResearcHERS and Integrating Women Leaders. In addition to being recognized by Indiana Super Lawyers and The Best Lawyers in America over the years, Ann was named to the Indianapolis Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 in 2021, and as an Up and Coming Lawyer by The Indiana Lawyer in 2018.

Ann graduated from The George Washington University and worked in communications in Washington, D.C. before receiving her juris doctor from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. She lives in Indianapolis with her husband and two kids.
