After graduating from Indiana University in 2001, Liane served a year as a Governor’s Fellow under the late Gov. Frank O’Bannon before graduating from the Mauer School of Law in 2005. She worked in the Indiana General Assembly as Assistant Majority Counsel for Indiana House Democrats from 2007-08. She currently works as counsel to Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Trustee Ann Delaney and serves as Fifth District Congressional Chair for the Indiana Democratic Party.

Liane co-founded the women's leadership initiative, Hoosier Women Forward, Inc., (www.hoosierwomenforward.org) and serves as its Board Chairwoman. Liane resides in Indianapolis with her husband, Michael, and their three boys.
